[01/12/2012] Lord Zane (Society 1) is planning a return to his industrial metal roots
Lord Zane (Society 1) admitted on his Facebook profile that his "last album [A Journey From Exile] made more than a few people scratch their heads with confusion". He also added "I'm returning to my industrial metal roots" and that "this new material will be reminiscent of what most associate with my sound". Zane is looking for bass players and drummers from LA for the purpose of making new music.

[01/03/2012] Famous sound engineer 'Critter' dies at 45
Jeff "Critter" Newell was best known of engineering and producing the most meaningful industrial rock and metal releases. Thanks to his skills, a variety of bands got *this* special vibe. Critter was related to such acts like Skrew, Chemlab, Die Warzau, The Skatenigs, 1000 Homo DJs, Anthrax, Lard, Ministry, Marilyn Manson, Apartment 26, 13 Mg., Gravity Kills and many others. He was 45 when died at home in Los Angeles on December 31st, 2011. See his discography at Discogs.

The second album of French industrial metal band Jenx will be called Enuma Elish and it'll include 11 "kickass and massive sound" as Jenx has recently announced on their website.
