[non-industrial] Transparent - Bridges
Transparent - Bridges

It is a listener-friendly track. "Bridges" sounds like it has possible hit potential and may draw the interest of music fans who have been into bands such as Blink-182, Sum 41, Green Day, Good Charlotte, Linkin Park or The Offspring.

The composition (spanning seven minutes) is open and includes many matching variations - imagine spirals spinning inside spirals. It sounds as if all instruments were biting the composition from every possible direction - at times simultaneously, then letting only one of them feed. This means that every musician got enough of space to showcase his skills.

[non-industrial] Veilside - Along the Way
Veilside - Along the Way

"Along the Way" is a composition that is both harmonic and melodic. The track is easily memorable due to repetitive hooks, yet not monotone in structure which makes its potential as a hit formidable. The song emulates the spirit of rock and grunge music that is reminiscent of Pearl Jam, REM, Silverchair, Bush, Nickelback, Seven Mary Three, Fuel, Soundgarden or 3 Doors Down. Fans of Veilside should definitely encourage the band to shoot a video for the song to give it an opportunity for even better on-line exposure.

"Closets" has loads of dynamics and energy, so it must sound entertaining during live shows. The entire composition sounds solid and very guitar-driven with leading 'dirty' motifs.

The composition and arrangements here were written with a classical approach. This kind of songwriting has resulted in an easy listening song. 'It's Always You' turned out reasonably short - it makes for an excellent radio, movie trailer or TV ad track.

Here's a song with a positive pop rock or even modern gospel feel that has hit potential. "Live Again" opens this self-titled album that includes 14 other tracks by solo artist Charlie Gathe, who performs under the moniker of Win The Day.

A comedic feel that is deeply rooted in the track "Are You A Girl Or A Boy? & PS!" is expressed though lyrics that are rhythmically spoken with a male voice saying: "I'm feeling pretty horny, wouldn't it be corny to find her cheek is thorny not smooooth." In addition, the band claims this to be a true story.

[non-industrial] Xander Demos - interview (2013)
Always remember that songs are the key in the music industry. Don’t lose sight of the melody and song structure. If you listen to my stuff, there are definite melodies and hooks. You can hum along in between bouts of shredding.

[non-industrial] Yesterday's Saints - Gates Of Valhalla
Yesterday's Saints - Gates Of Valhalla
Rating: 5
Reviewed by Fabryka Industrial Rock & Metal Encyclopedia on .
The song contains lyrics that are masterfully mixed with spinning and chunky guitar riffs that stitch the song structures together like an overlock. Non-pushy percussive elements of the drums never predominate the other instruments, which may be a golden ratio for an intelligent form of metal music.
