The Last Soundtrack |Pail, 2007|

OMG, The Burning Question, Disbelief, The Line, Ani's Black Lion, Rusted, Bitter End, Forever Severed, Ttato, For Ola, Spacemonkey (bonus video), Birth Prophecy of (bonus video)

Pail is a band which has been around since a few years and after the two Texas based bands - Angor Wat and Skrew were quit in the 90's. Mike Titsworth was a member of those two bands and later a founder of Pail along with his wife Rachel, Benjamin Morgan, Brad Schmerback and Shannon Deane. Pail stands for yet another great band from Austin, a city where SXSW is a well known annual festival and where a urban colony of bats living under the Congress Bridge are one of many local attractions. Hot Texas climate seems to influence most of music coming from out there, but especially guitars which sound heavy, juicy and powerful for the most part.

Pail's newest album reminds me mostly Type O Negative tunes tho they aren't that much gloomy and as Mike told me - The Last Soundtrack wasn't even influenced by TON at all while recording the album. Some of the tracks sound nostalgic but still heavy. There are my favs of the 10 songs on the Last Soundtrack album: Rusted, one kickass track with edgy guitars and angry vocals (if you liked Just One Fix by Ministry you know the rhythm) but also a song with amazing vocal parts called Ttato. I just can't stop listening to that! The Line song has a nice, partly progressive rock and partly hard core guitar & bass riffs which make the song's main vibe changing in an interesting way. Also Forever Severed is very cool composition with awesome refrains. Mike can truly sing and he is Pail's main strength as his voice is easy to recognize.

It's a very well planned, composed and performed album full of tracks to be played on the radio, podcasts etc. so all kind of media should be happy having it for promotion and fans to enjoy with!
