The Celestial Hellgrounds |Celestial Hellgrounds Music, 2003|

Release, Assimilation, Lush, Lies, Need, My Empty Room, Salvation, Strain, Ascension

It's pure chance that cool things come up ocassionaly, but it's not a sheer accident that groovy, heavy music comes from Texas to mention bands like Revolting Cocks, Skrew, Snow Black, SiNDADDY, Union Underground and of course Ministry. Pulse Faction was formed in 1998 by David Brock as a solo project to develop into a three piece live band in 2006. The band was joined by Patrick Puente (bass), experienced in a variety of music genres like industrial, metal, punk or even hip hop and Johnny Ostrem (drums) well known from drumming in such industrial-metal bands like Rorschach Test and Contingence.

The interesting fact is that the whole album was recorded on a computer in one room apartment and all of the 9 songs were used to a variety of motion pictures (such acts like Taking Lives feat. Angelina Jolie, The Lost Angel feat. Alison Eastwood, The Hulk feat. Nick Nolte), TV programms (MTV, Discovery Channel, NBC, Sci-Fi Channel, Fox Network, ESPN etc.), and a computer game Paris Chase (Team 6 Game Studios). Tracks on the album are a mixture of edgy guitar driven riffs with a bit of electronics but it's difficult to isolate the best song cause all of them are amazing. Assimilation, Lush, My Empty Room, Salvation or Strain are just recommendations.

The Celestial Hellgrounds is a very professional release depicting Brock's professional attitude to his creativity. Finally I can add that I was looking forward to the CD a lot and its content fulfilled my expectations. Fabryka's aim is totally about promoting such tunes :)
