Datamerica |BMG Ariola Munchen GmbH, 1996|

1. Full Screen Horror, 2. Bastard, 3. New Crusadors, 4. Datahymn, 5. In Nomine Patris, 6. Robopriest, 7. God Is Me, 8. Observer, 9. Don't Stare, 10. Albert Fisher, 11. Highwaykiller, 12. Flight 13, 13. War, 14. Dawn, 15. Wonderful World

I know nothing about the band. I couldn't find much more over the internet except this album tracklist and that the album was released in 1996. It;s said there were two guys behind the band - Cherubin – music, samples, vocals, and NMI – vocals. Therefore as for information about the band I won't be helpful but let's move to the CD review.

Datamerica sounds like industrial metal made in the USA in the 90s, and seems inspired by Ministry a lot (Full Screen Horror, Bastard, New Crusadors, War), Nerve (New Crusadors), Cubanate (God Is Me), Slave Unit (Don't Stare), The Skatenigs and KMFDM (Highwaykiller) as well as Haloblack and Chemlab (Wonderful World).

Despite of so many comparisons the band doesn't sound like a copy cat. I didn't get the feeling I'd heard all the tunes previously. Revolter mingled above inspirations with punk spirit. There's a lot of marching military rhythm which increases rough dynamics - listen to War.
There are also a few ornaments besides guitar driven tracks like movie dialogs, kept in either military (Flight 13) or more social atmospheres.

Datahymn is a very good song title since there is statistics about beer, donuts, pizza consumption, amount of intercourses, dreaming about wealth, average penis length data listed and other controversial items, layered over some old song, probably from 1920-30).

I do think it's a very good release and I'm happy to recommend it to you. However I wish I could find any more visible traces of the band's existence ;)
