Hypersonic Hyperphonic |Reconstriction, 1996|

1. Thinwall Turmoil,2. Whatever,3. Wait Suspension,4. Dis-Jointed,5. Insulin,6. Elliv Noir Am,7. Doubtless,8. Unfamiliar,9. Dis-Jungle

This album made me disappointed a lot! My interest in Tinfed started when I got this Cyber Core Compilation featuring Tinfed amongst all other industrial bands. There was a stunning song Cleansed by Tinfed so it caused me looking for more stuff by this band. I found them finally this year and got disappointed. I mean the music is OK, guitars are edgy but it all falls apart when the vocalist begins singing. I liked tracks like Thinwall Turmoil, Dis-Jointed (reminds me Treponem Pal), and Doubtless is awesome, very psychedelic. Insuline reminds me Nirvana stuff, and Unfamiliar is a weird instrumental, even experimental track. But they all left me with a grim due to vocal parts. ( Katarzyna NINa Górnisiewicz. Hypersonic-Hyperphonic published in 1996 is the second album of the California based band "Tinfed". Previews of the three songs: "Thin Wall Turmoil" (including a remix version), "Dis*Jointed" and "Whatever" were published on a couple of Re-Constriction compilations.

Since the first listening, the album immediately shows its weaknesses: singing sounds problematic and a certain monotony in drums and guitars is what pervades the tracks with boredom. Indeed, it sounds like listening to the same song on the whole album.
There are of course very good tracks like "Dis*Jointed", but many of the ideas developed so that "Whatever" and "Wait Suspension" could be condensed into a single track.

If you like God Lives Underwater, Sunna and Deftones (Tinfed bass player Rick Verret cooperates with Chino Moreno’s Team Sleep), then you may find this album interesting. (Marco Gariboldi. Proofreading: Scott M. Owens)
