Painiac |Victor Entertainment Japan, 1995|
1. Painiac, 2. Lamentous Momentous, 3. Find It Fuck It Forget It (Live), 4. Painiac (Rattle & Cum Mix), 5. Painiac (Mekon/Artery Mix)
The "Painiac" EP was published exclusively in Japan in 1995, and includes the original "Paniac" album version, other than the one that appears on "Sinsation".
This version of "Painiac" is cleaner, a minute shorter and less aggressive. "Moments Lamentous" has all the elements dear to Raymond Watts - piercing synths (like his lyrics), orchestra samples, and classic Steve White guitar riffs.
The third track is a live version of one of his most famous songs: "Find It Fuck It Forget It", often performed with KMFDM. "Mekon/Artery Mix" is one of the most attractive remixes because reinterprets the original song successfully. Other than that, the "Rattle & Cum" remix fails because it keeps too close to the original.
It's an EP for collectors but the presence of "Lamentous Momentous" alone justifies the purchase.
