What does Fabryka mean?
Fabryka it's a Polish name for English 'factory'. I used it since I'm Polish and factory is related directly to all what industrial and noise stand for.

How much time does it take to make and run a magazine like this?
15 years have passed before I turned the magazine into an encyclopedia. Until then, the magazine has been constantly improved, moved, updated, upgraded, observed, tracked, tested, compared etc. Let's say music analysis (review) takes up to 3 days (includes listening) and making interview questions may take up to 5 days (includes doing an on-line research). When you add also editing, proofreading, publishing, SEO & promotion on social networks, then you'll get your answer!
Why didn't you guys answer my email?
We do read your emails but there are three reasons why we didn't respond:
- some external spam filter classified your message as spam and we may get to this message after a long time or never,
- we always give directions to what music genres we're interested in and so if your music doesn't match such requirements (yes we clicked the links you sent and listened to the songs) then it means we're not interested in your music (or we don't specialize in your genre).
Why am I being redirected to some other website when I click a free download link?
Fabryka Magazine doesn't host any albums or single songs on its servers.
The rule is that every free download link redirects to a website where an artist uploaded his/her music and allowed it for a free download. It can be an official website, a SoundCloud profile or any other social network and sharing service. If such an artist changes his mind and quits giving his music away, you will know it first because we validate these links occasionally.
When you are redirected to an artist website, you can also learn more, comment, bookmark and like some of his/her content. This is a proper feedback you can offer for their hard work.

Download clicks, article reads - how do they change?
Download clicks and article reads change (decrease!) with every database update. The magazine is created and hosted on a local computer so when the data it's transferred to the Darknation server it overwrites the existing content (SQL tables). In some cases it's not possible to work on a database copied from the remote server to the local server. The number of reads or clicks shows the basic number of views on the local server (which is as little as max 3-4).
What was the magazine's goal?
The main magazine's goal was to educate about 'old school' and the only cool industrial rock and industrial metal bands and their music. Sadly both genres transformed into something less independent and bands started coming out with less original content after Y2K, focused on remixes, re-makes, re-releases etc, etc. This is not original at all. Thus, we had nothing more to say or educate about, and yet NINa (CEO), now in her 40s, has lost interest in the sound of industrial music and promoting anybody, preferring to focus on her other creative passions like s/f writing, illustration, and woodworking. Fortunately, the main goal has been achieved long before turning the magazine into an encyclopedia - we gave our best in promoting, covering and discovering bands during the last 15 years.
