"Tried + True", the third Tinfed album published in 2000 by Hollywood Records. It differs from the previous albums thanks to better song-writing and especially because of Ed Buller's (Pulp, Suede) supervision, whose production and mixing made this release significantly different compared to the previous albums.
This album has little or almost nothing to do with coldwave or industrial rock; at most it could be compared to a pop version of the music of Filter. Rey Osburn’s voice is more at ease with this sound, so the songs seem to vary more. There is also a beautiful hit called "Immune" on the track list that was used for the blockbuster movie "Mission Impossible II" soundtrack.
If you're looking for the most raw and coldwave Tinfed vibe, buy the first two albums. If you prefer Incubus or any other indie rock contaminated with electronic sound, then this album could be a nice surprise. (Marco Gariboldi. Proofreading: Scott M. Owens)
