Gravity Kills |TVT Rec., 1996|

Forward, Guilty, Blame, Down, Here, Enough, Inside, Goodbye, Never, Last, Hold

Gravity Kills debut album it's a bit commercial form of the industrial rock style of music. Commercial in the meaning of suitable to play it on the radio show. Along with Filter, Stabbing Westward and KMFDM bands also Gravity Kills with its rebelled and not much aggressive style belongs to the group of pioneers of industrial rock music all around the world. The songs on the debut album are simple, short, dynamic and based on a verse-chorus-verse construction scheme.
Perversion |TVT Rec, 1998|

Falling, If, Crashing, Drown, Alive, Wanted, Always, One, Disintegrate, Belief (To Rust)

There are the two features typical for the Gravity Kills music - bass line and Jeff Scheel's voice. More guitars than sampling, vocal without any -nowadays- overused distortion effects, lyrics says about important issues instead of being only between sounds gap fillers. Dynamics (Crushing, One), true rock driven songs (Alive, Always, Disintegrate), both sweet and heavy (Wanted). ( Katarzyna NINa Górnisiewicz. Must not be used for promotional or commercial purposes. Manipulated |TVT, 1997|

Here (The Hell Everyone Misses Remix), Here (Mark Saunders Remix), Enough (Al Jourgensen Remix), Enough (Critter's Carnal Remix), Here (Done Brothers Remix), Blame (Phentinol Warzone Pharmaceuticals Remix), Down (Praga Khan Jungle Remix), Down (L6ords Of Acid Power Remix), Enough (Martin Atkins White Light Remix), Enough (Extrinsic Remix), Enough (P.M. Dawn Expanse Remix), Guilty (Juno Reactor Remix), Guilty (Roli Mosimann Remix)

Manipulations made by Juno Rector, Roli Mossimann, Lords of Acid, Al Jourgensen, PM Down, Martin Atkins - the fame of artists stimulate for listening. They remixed 5 songs - Here, Guilty, Enough, Blame, Down - coming from the Gravity Kills first album. Manipulation begins easy, then Jourgensen shows his claws. Phentinol sounds better in the original. Down remixed by Praga Khan contains lots of dub, nu jazz and drum'n'bass elements. Lords of Acid typical noisy and the remix sounds interesting. Martin Atkins started with the hard drum beats and made Enough sound heavy and coarse but also sounds great. Next PM Down, with his rap ventures, groovy a lot but doesn't make me driven a lot. Guilty remixes are listed at Guilty remix single released in 1996 and once again excellent Juno Reactor. On the whole, thanx to such remixes the Gravity Kills songs got more power and deeper beat hits which the originals were lack of. ( Katarzyna NINa Górnisiewicz. Guilty |TVT, 1996|

Guilty (Juno Reactor Remix), Guilty (Roli Mossiman Remix), Guilty (Youth's Blood Orchid Sky Remix), Guilty (Album Version), Guilty (Youth's Art As Prostitution Remix), Goodbye (Tomandandy Remix), Goodbye (Demo Version), Guilty (Roli Mossiman Instrumental), Guilty (Juno Reactor Instrumental), Guilty (Nothing Remix), Guilty (Lo-Fi Remix)

Learning Gravity Kills shouldn't be started from that record but it's a great collection of remixes to play at a party. Two songs of the firts Gravity Kills album remixed by a variety of musicians like Juno Reactor, (known of their excellent song God Is God), Roli Mossimann the Gravity Kills producer, Youth's and Tomandandy. Superstarved |Sanctuary Records, 2002|

Love Sex And Money, Takie It All Away, Fifteen Minutes, Forget Your Name, Enemy, Breakdown, Bag and Borrow, One Thing, Personal Jesus, Wide Awake, Suffocate, Superstarved, Love Sex And Money (Reprise)

Gravity Kills albums stand close to Filter ones in my music collection. It's closer to Perversion music here but sounds heavier and more aggressive. The typical bass line is not so accented and the guitars play the main role. Jeff Scheel sings with more energy as if he revived after a long hiatus. ( Katarzyna NINa Górnisiewicz.
