Tooms & Lenny Dee - Burn In Sunlight |Industrial Strength Records, 2014|
1. Burn In Sunlight (Tooms Mix), 2. Burn In Sunlight (Lenny Dee Mix), 3. Burn In Sunlight (Unexist Remix), 4. Burn In Sunlight (Mario Malke Remix), 5. Disgraceland (KinzoIsHere remix)
Burn In the Sunlight brings a sonic arrhythmia which is well known from
Tooms' releases up to date. This time however, the UK based quartet teamed up with a legendary techno/house DJ Lanny Dee. Their collaborative effort led to making a remix EP of Tooms' "Burn in the Sunlight" and "Disgraceland".
If it lacks ADHD-grade vitality, roaring and screaming, and is not wrapped up with pulsating broken rhythms then spiced up with guitars, it is not real Tooms. Therefore, the band married anger-driven hardcore with high-energy techno and so, the remixes include all of above traits.
Lenny Dee, who's the CEO of Industrial Strength Records, has taken the same song even higher by altering chunky guitars then mixing them with guitar soloing & modern electronica.
Dee has also headhunted for equally pioneering individuals and so, there are three additional remixes on the EP. Unexist smuggled in the famous 90s techno terror with its notorious beat into his remix and enhanced the track with cybernetic sound effects. As a result, we get quite a dancefloor hit. Mario Malke followed a similar path but left some space to breathe between hard hitting beats and shattered vocals. Finally, the man behind a pervy mask - KinzoIsHere brought a hypnotizing vibe to "Disgraceland", mixing Tooms' rebellious yell with techno arrangements and a memorable electronic motif.
If you're not afraid of disturbing the balanced alignment of your chakras, buy this EP as soon as possible.
