Painiac |Victor Entertainment Japan, 1995|
1. Painiac, 2. Lamentous Momentous, 3. Find It Fuck It Forget It (Live), 4. Painiac (Rattle & Cum Mix), 5. Painiac (Mekon/Artery Mix)
The "Painiac" EP was published exclusively in Japan in 1995, and includes the original "Paniac" album version, other than the one that appears on "Sinsation".
This version of "Painiac" is cleaner, a minute shorter and less aggressive. "Moments Lamentous" has all the elements dear to Raymond Watts - piercing synths (like his lyrics), orchestra samples, and classic Steve White guitar riffs.
The third track is a live version of one of his most famous songs: "Find It Fuck It Forget It", often performed with KMFDM. "Mekon/Artery Mix" is one of the most attractive remixes because reinterprets the original song successfully. Other than that, the "Rattle & Cum" remix fails because it keeps too close to the original.
It's an EP for collectors but the presence of "Lamentous Momentous" alone justifies the purchase.

Wrecked |Victor Entertainment Japan, 1996|
1. Wrecked, 2. No One Gets Out Of Her Alive, 3. Everything, 4. Contempt, 5. Save Me, 6. The Only Good One's A Dead One, 7. Blades, 8. Find It F. It Forget It (Sump Mix), 9. Sanctuary (Spent Sperm Mix), 10. Silt
Initially published only in Japan in 1996 it was also distributed in the U.S. a year later by Wax Trax/TVT Records.
Together with the two accompanying EPs "Prime Evil" and "No One Gets Out Of Her Alive" (published only in Japan) made up more than a trilogy, a real ménage à trois transpires so much sex from Watts’ music and lyrics. The track list of the Japanese version differs slightly from American one analyzed below.
The album starts with an excellent and strong song: "Wrecked", which electronic part was used in the song "Spit Sperm" on the KMFDM "Symbols" album. "No One Gets Out Of Her Alive" exploits all of Watts’ habits; a long orchestral intro then leads to an epic and powerful chorus. With no pause, we are catapulted into "Everything", undoubtedly one of his most beautiful songs. "Contempt" slips on a catchy techno base accompanied by a choir in pure KMFDM style.
After this beginning, with the accelerator pressed, Watts launches a desperate scream in "Save Me", an embroidery of a dark and desperate woof. "The Only Good One's A Dead One" rises a listener’s adrenaline to the top level.
The next three tracks offer remixed versions of songs from the previous album while the Sanctuary remix sounds notable. The album is closed by a beautiful instrumental track called "Silt".
Certainly a great album, which cannot fail in the collection of any industrial rock lover.

Prime Evil |Victor Entertainment Japan, 1997|
1. Prime Evil, 2. Wrecked (Ken Ishii Remix), 3. War Pigs, 4. Everything (Pig Remix), 5. The Keeper Of The Margarita, 6. Save Me (Locust Remix), 7. Silt (Euphonic Remix)
This EP contains 3 new and some diverse revisitations of songs that appeared on "Wrecked".
The first song "Prime Evil", thanks to the contribution of the epic samples provides an excellent appetizer. Ken Ishi, producer and DJ, manipulates the second track "Wrecked", offering a good techno aftertaste. "War Pigs", the second unreleased track, is a discreet cover of the famous Black Sabbath song. Everything is superbly remixed by Watts, who proceeds to decompose and transform the original burst into a fragmented, and organic sound of depravity.
If the energy and impact of the "Everything Original" version can be compared to sex, of which Watt’s music is pregnant, then you could say that it is a multiple orgasm, while the revised version is an interrupted coitus that keeps you with bated breath. The third unreleased track is an ambient/mambo digression.
"Saved", remixed by Locust, is one of my favorite remixes of all time. It is almost unrecognizable from the original version, sounding anabolic, with a hardcore drum machine, and debris of an Aphex Twin song: "Start As You Mean To Go". To close the EP there is a pleasant drum 'n' bass version of "Silt".
An enjoyable album with exceptional artwork.

No One Gets Out Of Her Alive |Victor Entertainment Japan, 1998|
1. No One Gets Out Of Her Alive, 2. Jump The Gun, 3. Contempt, 4. Satanic Panic, 5. The Murder Car, 6. No One Gets Out Of Her Alive (KMFDM Remix), 7. Contempt (Sniper Remix), 8. Find It Fuck It Forget It (Sump Mix)
The third element of Raymond Watts’ peak in the land of the Far East offers new and remixed versions of songs put out on the album "Wrecked".
Apart from the songs already in the American version of "Wrecked", the second track is "Jump The Gun", not overwhelming, but anyway a good song, which stands for a prelude to the next album "Genuine American Monster". "Satanic Panic" is an instrumental track possessed by the Devil. "The Murder Car" unfortunately, isn’t effective. Sounding like an intermezzo of keyboards and drones. A bit like "Transceration in Sinsation", but where the outcome is not the best.
Watts, with Konietzko and Shepard from KMFDM remixed the track that gives the title to the Ep, proposing a less aggressive and more funky version than the original. "Contempt" (Sniper Remix) seems to be out of Prodigy’s Fat Of The Land.
Surely one step below the other Ep "Prime Evil", however it is a discrete work.

Pigmata |Metropolis, 2005|
1. Suck Spit Shit, 2. Here To Stay, 3. Reject, 4. Situation, 5. Kundalini, 6. Vitriol Vice And Virtue, 7. Take, 8. Arbor Vitate, 9. Stage Slut, 10. Junky, 11. God Rod, 12. On The Slaughterfront, 13. Filth Healer
Pigmata is not simply a re-issue of the "Pigmartyr" album published under the moniker of Watts (see NINa’s review), but it is a revised edition, with bonus tracks and different artwork.
The version published by Grand Recordings in 2004 unfortunately had many problems of distribution (packages lost), delays, and a bad mastering. Having both versions of the album, the feedback is easy: Pigmata offers a sound that is clearer and cleaner, thanks to the revision of Isaac Glendering of Cesium:137.
In addition to the remastering there are 3 new tracks: "God Rod" is infected by Watt’s big love: "The Mambo", while "On The Slaughterfront" could be the soundtrack to a perverse and sick version of Casablanca. "Filth Healer" well grafts in the context of the album.
There are also two tracks that have already appeared in another form: "Junky", the fruit of collaboration with Bryan Black, already included in the Haloblack album "Throb", and "Arbor Vitate" already published by Shaft.
An excellent album that fortunately has suffered corrections due to be appreciated. Perhaps one of the loudest of Watts’ artistic releases.

Sinsation |Nothing/Interscope, 1996|
Serial Killer Thriller, Hamstrung On The Highway, Golgotha, The Sick, Painiac (Nothing Touches Me Mix), Shell, Analgesia, Volcano, Hot Hole, Transceration
I paid attention to that record thanks to the label it was released on. The music has it's own valors even it is similar to KMFDM, White Zombie, Laibach or Ministry because of the classical music sampled into. There are a few beautiful movie-like suits. (
