This is how about the cult albums of our favourite style of music are being made, where a ratio between guitars and computers is 2:1. The advantage and a dominant factor of Snow Black's music are edgy guitar riffs and an experience gained in Revolting Cocks. Phil Owen, a founder of Snow Black was also a producer of Skrew's first album called
Burning In Water, Drowning In Flames.
It's totally hard to drag away of a song 'Car Crash', which has all the features to become an industrial-metal 'blockbuster', worked out the success thanks to low tuned and looped guitar riffs, shouted vocals with that old WaxTrax! vibe, and the general dynamics of the song. Besides this one I do recommend to listen to a song promoted in Fabryka podcasts 'Stick In It' and also a track 'At War With Myself' with a police car sirens sound, predatory guitar riffs characteristic for the 90's Ministry music which presumably might make every longhair listener head-banging ;)
There is also a song called 'Silent Screams' which gives me an image of a blurred dream with children playing with the merry-go-round while we can be almost sure somewhere there is a hidden danger to make them have a bad trip suddenly. After the song comes up a track which might be compared to the music of those hot industrial-metal blades like Bile or N17. 'Wake Up' it's a final song with an amazing bass line and guitars which reminds me the cold wave vibes of the 80's. Some of the songs contain rap style of singing but listen to The Skatenigs, a former Phildo's band to know where the influence comes from.
The Suggestion of Power is a very mature, professionally produced release which proudly can stand for industrial-metal style of music along with such albums like
The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste by Ministry,
Defy Everything by N17 or
The System Doesn't Work by Project .44.
