This review needs a short introduction to the band. Cary Carrico, McKay Garner and Josh Langfield come from three important for the industrial rock style of music USA areas like Texas, California and Chicago so you can find all of their traces in Elyzium music. Moreover Josh spent a few years in Maintenance of Order camp, the band known on the Chicago industrial scene in the 90's playing shows that time with Cubanate, Acumen (present Acumen Nation), Sister Soleil, Rorschach Test, 16volt, or Chemlab.

Of the 11 songs and remixes I was attracted by the track called Spell thanx to mostly great rock based vocals by Cary (with his Texas accent which always make my heart melt) and, on the other hand a very dance version of the Lost song by Mikiah. Tapsonic is Mike Tapson who was with Josh in Maintenance of Order back in the 90s. His remix is full of drum'n'bass beats and electronics which give more harmony and dynamics to the song. Of the Thin Thread versions this one by Alexander Michael should be a dancefloor hit with no doubts. Zardonic Remix of the same song should draw attention of Prodigy fans.

The strength of Elyzium is Cary with his a bit nasal but a the same time very remarkable voice, he is one of the guys who really can sing. It's a cool set of songs and remixes for your music collection. ( Katarzyna NINa Górnisiewicz. Must not be used for promotional or commercial purposes. See a Legal Note for the copyrights below)
